Upstate Art Weekend

Upstate Art Weekend is an annual celebration of contemporary art across the Hudson Valley and Catskills, showcasing a vibrant mix of exhibitions, open studios, and site-specific installations. It brings together artists, collectors, and visitors for a curated journey through both established institutions and hidden creative spaces. The weekend highlights the region's rich cultural landscape, blending art, nature, and community in a uniquely immersive experience.

• 9am: yogurt + fruit breakfast

• 9:45am: drive to hessel museum (45 min – sat arrivals meet us @ the hessel museum)

• 10:30am: tour of hessel

• 12pm: drive to the campus (30 min)

• 12:30pm: tour of campus

• 1:45pm: drive to hudson (10 min)

• 2pm: late lunch in hudson + walk around galleries

• 3:30pm: drive to foreland in catskill (15 min)

• 3:45pm: spend an hour at foreland – open studios + party

• 5pm drive back to camp (30 min)

• 5:30pm swim, hang, drink

• 7:30pm dinner on site

• 10pm bonfire

sunday, 6/20

• 9am morning movement workshop / morning swim

• 10am yogurt + fruit breakfast / hang

• 12pm - Hike

• 1pm tour of dia

• 2:30pm lunch near dia

• 3:45pm drive to magazzino (20 min)

• 4:15pm tour of magazinno

• 5:30pm drive back to bk (1h 20m)

• 7pm arrive in bk

Location: Located just about 2 hours from the city, this is a primitive camping site—meaning there are no resources or amenities. What makes this spot so special is the enormous lake that we’ll have all to ourselves, perfect for starting and ending your day with a swim :) Surrounded by lush forests and rolling hills, it’s an ideal place to unwind, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and experience the natural beauty of upstate New York.

Continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning

The drinks: 

Specialty drinks, beers, wine, and of course N/A bevys all weekend long.

• We will be pooping and peeing in the woods via diging a hole
